World Rhino Day 2012: FIVE RHINO SPECIES FOREVER! World Rhino Day celebrates all five species of rhino and works to eliminate demand for rhino horn by highlighting efforts to debunk the medicinal myths about rhino horn. Please join us in our efforts to bring attention to the plight of these iconic pachyderms on September 22.
The Cincinnati Zoo will celebrate World Rhino Day on the weekend of September 26 & 27!
This special day is designed to spotlight our world’s rhinos and the problems they face, as well as give visitors an opportunity to get involved.
Visitors can learn about endangered rhinos through family activities, crafts, discovery stations, rhino animal encounters, and special animal demonstrations.
Out of Africa, Arizona will celebrate World Rhino Day on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the park.
There will be having a coloring contest for a rhino encounter and a raffle with great prizes. Help celebrate Jericho’s birthday and the conservation efforts for rhinos in the wild.
Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon will celebrate World Rhino Day on Sunday, September 20.
Guests will get a sneak peek of the NEW Rhino Boma and take a safari ride out to the newly built rhino boma and tour where our rhinos will soon be housed. Guests will then be escorted to visit our rhinos, Jack and Taryn.
WWF Indonesia will be very busy celebrating World Rhino Day!
Events kick off in Lampung, with a school visit and Rhino March at Sept 19. In Ujung Kulon, there will be a school visit, coloring activity for rhino, and journalist writing contest. In Kutai Barat, there is a school visit and discussion about Sumatran Rhino. In Kalimantan, there will be a photography contest about rhino habitat. In Balikpapan (Kalimantan) there be a discussion with WWF Stakeholder for Sumatran Rhino Conservation.
In Jakarta,there will be a discussion about wildlife photography with Alain Compost and Stephen Belcher on September 22.

The prizes for three winners in the contest will consist of field trip to Ujung Kulon, a certificate, and cash. Good luck and may everyone find a happy home for Indonesia’s precious rhinos!

The winner of this competition will win a pair of Leupold Katmai 6×30 Compact Binoculars sponsored by Formalito while the top ten images will be featured in a World Rhino Day gallery in our online magazine on the 18th of September.
